Before working exclusively as a jeweller in 2007, Marisa Arna was known as an accomplished maker of thrown porcelain ceramics. These pages feature a selection of her work.
There is a selection of her highly distinctive one-off veined porcelain pieces, and further images of ceramics, both decorative and tableware, all thrown and decorated by hand, with Marisa’s exclusive glazes, which set a trend in the world of ceramics in the UK in subsequent years.
Her ceramics were selected for the Chelsea Crafts Fair and its successor, Origin, which were generally considered to be among the leading craft exhibitions in Europe.
The Conran Shop in London, Paris and Tokyo, the V&A Museum shop and other prestigious shops and galleries in London and around the country stocked her work. Journalists and stylists used Marisa's ceramics in interiors and food features in national magazines and newspapers.
